SQL Server 2008 R2 is release over 1 year . Before , you can't using SQL Server 2008 R2 as SCOM 2007 R2 's datebase directly, but now , you can !

So , how can we do that ?

如果直接安装SCOM，会有如下提示（即使你已经正确安装了SQL Server 2008 R2）：
要求安装 Microsoft SQL Server。请参阅详细信息
System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 要求安装 SQL Server 2005 Standard 或  Enterprise 版本 SP1 及以后版本或者 SQL Server 2008 Standard 或 Enterprise 版本 SP1 及以后版本。注意: Operations Manager 2007 R2 在 64 位操作系统上不支持 32 位 Operations Manager Operations 数据库、Reporting Server 数据库或 Audit Collection 数据库。
从提供的链接安装 SQL Server 2008 试用版: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=148453。从提供的链接安装 SQL Server 2008 SP1，然后再次运行先决条件检查程序:  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=148449

解决办法：

First , you need to install SQL Server 2008 R2 standard or Enterprise , if you need SCOM 2007 R2 reporting , don't forget install SSRS .

On this DB Server , insert SCOM 2007 R2 image , find and run DBCreatWizard.exe tool

Display database configuration wizard

Next , under Database Information , you can select database type , now we need create Operations Manager Database firstly ,fill in SQL Port and Db name and size .

Next , under Management Group Configuration , you can assign MG name , and permission .

Next , in Summary , you can check previous configuration

if OK , Finish to create till display successfully .

Secondly , using again this tool to create Operations Manager DW database

Next till to finish. Now , you can review two db in this

OK , you can starting install SCOM 2007 R2 . When you Installing SCOM 2007 R2 first Management Server . you need pay attention , don't choose Database item

When you install SCOM 2007 R2 Reporting ,(注意：此处的本地组名更改，如不更改，则安装程序无法继续，一直处理等待状态)

a. On the SQL Server Reporting Services server, rename the local group SQLServerReportServerUser$<hostname>$MSSRS10_50.<SQLInstanceName> to SQLServerReportServerUser$<hostname>$MSSRS10.<SQLInstanceName>

b. Install System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Reporting.
Important When you install System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Reporting, you should not install the Data Warehouse component.

c. Rename the local group SQLServerReportServerUser$<hostname>$MSSRS10.<SQLInstanceName> back to original name SQLServerReportServerUser$<hostname>$MSSRS10_50.<SQLInstanceName>

OK , You willsuccessfullycomplete the installation.
